Donna Kelce Watched Taylor Swift Marry Her Son. Asked How It Went, She Had One Word

“I really can’t say a heck of a lot except it was magical, man, magical.” That’s the entire review Donna Kelce gave of the July 3 wedding, her first public word since her son married Taylor Swift at Madison Square Garden.

Then, without being asked, she drifted somewhere older: “I remember I used to take the boys down to Lake Erie and we would watch the fireworks in Euclid, Ohio, and we had the best time.”

Donna Kelce is Travis Kelce’s mom, and on the night of July 4 she was out at Macy’s Fourth of July fireworks at Pier 17 in New York, one day after watching her son marry Taylor Swift at Madison Square Garden.

The wedding was the most tightly guarded celebrity event of the year. Guests signed NDAs. Details stayed locked down. So when someone asked the groom’s mother how it went, it was the closest anyone had gotten to an inside account.

She gave them “magical,” said it twice, and let a childhood memory carry the rest.

Back during the planning, Donna had joked she didn’t even need to sign an NDA, because “They know I can keep a secret.”
