Gigi Hadid Left Taylor Swift’s Wedding Weekend for a Gothic Big Bird Moment in Paris

Gigi Hadid walked the Balenciaga Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2026-2027 show at Cité Universitaire de Paris on July 8, her first runway in nearly five months and the closing turn of a fast pivot from one A-list scene to the next.

The 31-year-old last walked in February, opening Ralph Lauren’s Fall 2026 show at New York Fashion Week on February 10 in a brown knit vest and maxiskirt, then a velvet gown with a rhinestoned cape. The Balenciaga show was Pierpaolo Piccioli’s couture debut for the house, staged in dramatic silhouettes like the black-feather cocoon that swallowed Hadid from headpiece to torso over baggy pleated trousers.

Five days earlier she was in New York with boyfriend Bradley Cooper for Swift and Kelce’s black-tie wedding, a 1,000-plus-guest night at Madison Square Garden with Adam Sandler officiating. Hadid wore a pink beaded Wiederhoeft corset dress with a cowl neckline and thigh-high slit that retails for $14,500.

By July 7 she was in Paris for Balenciaga and getting ready to show us this incredible and very street-ready gothic Big Bird look.
