Donald Trump Jr. Is Getting Married This Memorial Day in the Bahamas. It Was Supposed to Happen at the White House, but the War in Iran Forced Them to Scale It Down.
Bettina Elesabeth Anderson is a 39-year-old Palm Beach socialite, Columbia graduate, former Milan model, and co-founder of The Paradise Fund, a hurricane relief nonprofit she helped start after Hurricane Dorian. Her family runs Palm Beach Groves, an orange orchard and souvenir shop that’s been a local institution for decades.

She and Don Jr. were first photographed together in the summer of 2024, while he was still engaged to Kimberly Guilfoyle. They confirmed the relationship that December, around the same time Guilfoyle was appointed U.S. Ambassador to Greece. The proposal happened at Camp David around December 13, 2025, near Bettina’s birthday. The engagement was announced at a White House holiday party two days later.
The wedding has been the subject of months of speculation. Early reporting suggested they wanted a large ceremony, possibly at the White House itself. That plan collapsed as the war in Iran escalated in March 2026. They settled on a private island in the Bahamas instead, Memorial Day weekend, with roughly the same circle who attended the Mar-a-Lago shower.

Her father, Harry Loy Anderson Jr., became the youngest bank president in U.S. history at age 26 in 1970, running Worth Avenue National Bank in Palm Beach. In the late 1990s, he wrote a reference letter for Jeffrey Epstein describing him as “a gentleman of the highest integrity” who “enjoys an excellent reputation in our community.” That letter helped Epstein secure the tax breaks in the U.S. Virgin Islands that financed the development of Little St. James. The New York Times published the letter on December 16, 2025, the day after the engagement was announced. Harry Anderson died in 2013.
