Zendaya Spun a Spell in a Black Satin Corset with Sweeping, Spider-Like Strands While Doing Yet Another Premiere Event
Zendaya’s stylist calls the corset and its trailing architectural train a spider “metamorphosis of this woman into this thing.”

The Ashi Studio corset was styling by Law Roach, Zendaya’s longtime collaborator, who described it to Variety as “an abstract way to present the spider.” The jewelry was Boucheron.

Roach said he “can’t pick a favorite” from the tour, but pointed to the archival John Galliano spiderweb dress from the 1997 “Circus” collection that Zendaya wore at the London premiere in June.

Her most talked-about moment cost far less. Last month she skipped couture for a vintage Spider-Man T-shirt at a Paris fan event, a tee Roach found on eBay for $34.99. He posted the listing to his Instagram Story afterward: “Style doesn’t always have to cost a fortune.”

Zendaya stars in “Brand New Day” opposite her husband, Tom Holland, in a story that follows Peter Parker through a world where his friends and family have forgotten him. Mark Ruffalo, Jon Bernthal, Jacob Batalon, Sadie Sink, Liza Colón-Zayas and Tramell Tillman round out the cast, with Destin Daniel Cretton directing.
