Hunter Schafer Has Tom Holland Saved in Her Phone as “Sister Tom”

Hunter Schafer has a nickname for Tom Holland, and it follows directly from how she sees Zendaya.

Schafer calls Zendaya her sister, and she’s folded Zendaya’s husband into the family the same way. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Schafer explained the logic behind the contact name she uses for Tom Holland.

She calls Zendaya her sister, which makes Holland “my other dear sister’s man,” so he’s saved in her phone as “Sister Tom.”

Schafer and Zendaya met filming Season 1 of Euphoria in 2018, playing Jules and Rue, and got close fast working through the show’s heaviest material. Schafer has called Zendaya “one of my best friends in the world to this day” and said they “fell in love with each other as friends.” Zendaya has described it in sisterly terms, saying they’ve “seen each other in every form, the worst, the best” with “no judgment, it’s all love.”

Holland’s connection to Schafer runs through Zendaya. Earlier this month, Zendaya brought a home video to The Tonight Show of herself explaining Interstellar to Schafer with a cardboard box on their living room floor. Holland shot the video, and his laugh is audible off-camera. Holland and Zendaya quietly confirmed their marriage earlier this year.
