She’s waiting for no one.

She’s at the point of her life where she’s healing herself not just from her recent breakup but from everything that didn’t work out.

She wants to let go of all failed friendships, relationships, and unmet expectations. She wants to move on from all her desperate attempts to chase love until it runs farther away from her grasp.

She knows that it would take time for her to really let go of all her past mistakes and bad decisions. It won’t be easy because for years, she had stubbornly held on to the wrong people and made a lot of attempts to make things work just because she’s too afraid to move forward.

She used to choose the past over and over again because she’s comfortable with its familiarity and because she was too afraid of starting all over again. She didn’t want to feel alone, lost, and vulnerable because all her life, those were the only feelings she grew accustomed with.

She needs to break free before she can hold on to something greater than what she had ever been given. The best is yet to come and despite the loneliness she’s feeling right now, she believes that someday, someone will make her realize why even if she tried, it didn’t work out with anyone else.

She has faith that there’s someone out there who is praying for her – to meet her, to get to know her, and to be with her not just for a short while but for the rest of their lives.

She doesn’t have the slightest clue when she would fall in love again but she’s in no hurry. Thanks to all her failed relationships, she has learned that true love is patient. It waits even and especially when the next chapters are unclear.

After all, she realized that she cannot force what’s not meant to be because what is hers will eventually find its way no matter where she may be. Thought Catalog Logo Mark
