Here’s What I Hope You Know During Your Weight Loss Journey

I hope you don’t do it out of hating your body but out of loving it.

I hope you don’t do it out of hating your body but out of loving it.

I hope you don’t decide to lose weight because of something someone said or because of any unpleasant comment that you might have heard.

I hope you don’t starve your body or mistreat it by putting it through harsh and unhealthy diets just for the sake of reaching your goal faster.

I hope you never despise or feel ashamed of your body, but instead cherish it no matter what and always remember all the beautiful things it allows you to do.

I hope you don’t do it out of pleasing someone or out of seeking acceptance or just for the sake of blending in. I hope you solely do it for you and for your own reasons.

I hope you accept yourself throughout this journey, and before it, and after it. I hope that when you decide to do it, you do it for all the right reasons.

I hope you become gentle towards your body during this phase. I hope you become patient with yourself and don’t get frustrated when you don’t see results right away. I hope you give yourself time and patience during this journey.

I hope that you’ll always put your physical and mental health a priority. I hope you don’t do it for the sake of meeting someone’s expectations of you.

I hope that you will always love and accept yourself no matter what shape you’re in, and I hope you know that self-love doesn’t start the minute you reach your ideal body goal, but it’s about you loving yourself in all your forms.

I hope that you’ll always take pride with who you are and know that this journey is an inspiring one, not something that you won’t want to discuss someday.

I hope that you will always keep reminding yourself that this journey is entirely about you and for you.
