19 Things You Should Know Before You Date Someone Who Loves Spending Time Alone
Alivia Latimer

God designed and planned our lives to be part of His. He wants us to remember how much He loves of all us through giving us our precious lives. But people oftentimes forget this gift, because of the downfalls that keep on happening in their lives.

No matter how hard life is, be grateful anyway.

Be grateful that you are here in this world. Your very existence is a lot to be thankful for, because believe it or not–you matter.

Be grateful for the people who’ve been with you through thick and thin. To your family who loved you from the very beginning, to your friends who supported you and shared lots of amazing experiences with you, to those people who broke you but made you stronger and most importantly, to that special person whom you want to spend every second of your life with. If it wasn’t for them, you wouldn’t be this person standing firm despite the obstacles that has been your way.

Be grateful for the scars you’ve earned from all of the monsters you have conquered. Because those scars prove how resilient you are no matter how ugly the situation you’re in.

Be grateful for all the nice little things in your life. Like how neat your room is, or how beautiful the sun is shining every time you wake up in the morning; because those things completes your day, no matter how small they are. You may not notice it, but they actually matter.

Be grateful for the mistakes and failure you’ve committed, because without those mistakes you wouldn’t be able to learn how to be better. In this world full of regrets, be grateful for the moments that you lost. Life isn’t all about being on the top or someone who seems to be perfect; life is more than those earthly desires, because life should be simple and genuine. God wants us to live our lives according to His will. He wants us to live our lives where we can feel the genuine happiness that He wants us to feel. Genuine happiness can’t be found on material and earthly things, it comes from within.

I want to remind you that no matter how hard life is for you right now, God has a plan for you. He will never put you in that situation if you can’t handle it yourself. Just keep on praying and put your faith in Him. Always be grateful of the life you have instead of being regretful. You will have your own breakthrough, that’s for sure. Thought Catalog Logo Mark
