Here Are Your Nintendo-ized Versions Of Classic Novel Covers

Retro computer graphics! They’re hip! They’re… retro. And for all of you “young people” with your Kindles and your iPads and your bleep bloops and your whatnots, you should know that when I was growing up, we were lucky to have sixteen different colors on our computer screens, or maybe sixty-four (I myself had a Commodore 64, which referred to the processing power, not the number of colors; but still, that was about the number of colors that it had).

Anyway, now that reading is passé, since the internet, texting, and Thought Catalog have successfully destroyed all literacy, I thought I might share with you some famous novels, whose covers I have rendered all Nintendo-style, circa 1987 or so, in the hopes of piquing your interest and thereby getting you to read books again. Enjoy!
