Trump Said He’s the Number One Person on Tiktok. His Account Has About 16.6 Million Followers
At a July 6 Oval Office event, President Trump said he is “the number one person” on TikTok “by far.” “Trump, me. I’m number one,” he said, adding that “Taylor Swift was number 11.” He referenced a list that he said had just come out. CNN reported he did not cite a source.
By follower counts tracked on Social Blade, the most-followed TikTok account belongs to Khaby Lame at about 162 million, followed by Charli D’Amelio at about 159 million and MrBeast at about 129 million. Taylor Swift’s account has roughly 33 million followers. Trump’s official account, @realdonaldtrump, has about 16.6 million.

Follower count isn’t the only way to measure reach. Some of Trump’s individual posts pull huge view counts, and he referenced “new numbers” that had just come out without saying what they were or where they came from. By the standard public metric (total followers) he isn’t close to number one.
Trump joined TikTok during the 2024 campaign and has credited it with helping him reach younger voters. In 2025 his administration backed a deal for U.S. ownership of the app, and he has said he “saved TikTok.”
