Snooki Says She’d Had 10 Long Islands and a Four Loko the Night Before a Jersey Shore Producer Told the Cops “Just Arrest Her” During the Famous Beach Meltdown

“I started to black out when the cops were handcuffing me,” Snooki says. When she came to in the cell, she wasn’t panicked: “I felt like a boss. I just got arrested for being drunk on the beach.”
The officers who arrested Snooki during the “Where’s the beach?” scene weren’t on shift for the town at all. She says production hired them to protect the cast from fans, which left her doubting they even had the authority to cuff her. “I don’t even think it’s legal for them to arrest me because they weren’t working for the town,” she said on the “Basement Chat” podcast.
Watching the footage back later, she caught the moment that sent her to a jail cell. “One of the producers said, just arrest her. And then they arrested me.”
She’d been drinking since she woke up that morning, still in the previous night’s party dress. “I woke up, still in my party dress.” She tried to chug a beer to beat the shakes before cameras rolled, then bolted. “I ran to the bar and I, like, took shots just to, like, start feeling better. And then I just didn’t stop.”
The night before, she says, was “like, 10 Long Islands” plus a Four Loko. “Back in the day, a four loco was, like, crack.”
She figures the crew wasn’t chasing a plot point. “They knew I was going to cause a crazy scene, so they just wanted it to stop. So they arrested me.”
At 22 or 23, it was her first arrest. “I felt like a boss. I just got arrested for being drunk on the beach.” She hated her mug shot so badly she asked to retake it, which is how she ended up with two.
