There’s A Difference Between Opening Up For Someone And Opening Up To Someone

I have a hard time talking about how I feel, you say, 
and I want to tell you, I promise,
it’s nothing like pulling teeth. 
There’s a difference between
opening up for someone and opening up to someone,
I think, and I hate
not knowing what your voice sounds like
saying something that matters.
You want intimacy but you fear intimacy,
and that’s why we are together,
lonely and elusive.
We taste like irony,
as if it was some kind of truth to swallow.
