Confidence Is A Choice You Have To Make Every Single Day
Confidence is the choice to be yourself and love yourself regardless of other people’s judgements or thoughts.
What is confidence?
Many of us are all too familiar with conditional confidence. You know, the “I’ll be confident when I do this… .I’ll be confident when I look like this…. I’ll be confident when this many people follow me” kind. But that isn’t true confidence. That confidence won’t last. It won’t stand firm when people or circumstances or life comes to confront who you are.
Confidence isn’t specific to a certain shape or body type.
Confidence doesn’t just show up at your door when you make it big.
Confidence doesn’t always come with success.
Confidence doesn’t depend on the opinion of others.
Confidence starts with who you are now, not who you want to be.
Confidence comes from the inside. It’s a choice. It’s believing in yourself first, before anyone else, and sustaining that belief even when you’re struggling. It’s being able to wear what you want. It’s being able to do what you want without having to explain or justify your choices to others. Confidence is the choice to be yourself and love yourself regardless of other people’s judgements or thoughts. More importantly, confidence is dynamic. It’s like a muscle. You have to choose confidence over doubt every day.
And when you start to work on being confident, you’ll notice. When you start feeling valuable, worthy, and capable, you’ll notice that the energy you give off and attract will change. You’ll become a magnet for positivity and love. When you appreciate and accept yourself, you’ll attract people who appreciate you for your true self. You’ll be magnetic and attract what you want in your life. It just starts with a choice. It starts with choosing to look at yourself, your good parts and bad, and accepting them. It starts with choosing to believe you can follow your dreams. It starts with choosing to acknowledge doubts, fears, and insecurities, and persisting regardless.
Confidence doesn’t just show up when we succeed. We start to succeed when we are confident because we know we deserve success. We have the confidence to take the first step towards our goals. We have the confidence to believe in ourselves. We have the confidence to show up. It all starts with a choice.
