Miss North Carolina USA Winner Brittany Boltinhouse Says She’s “Not At All” Sorry for Using the N-Word, Even Though It Cost Her the Crown

By

She lost her crown over decade-old posts, and now she’s saying she’d do it all again. Her defense: using a slur is a First Amendment right she claims she was “ripped of” as a “proud American.”

Brittany Boltinhouse insists her old posts didn’t cost her the Miss North Carolina USA crown, telling the Daily Mail she was pushed out “because of my political and religious stance.”

Asked if she thought she owed an apology for using the n-word, she told the outlet, “No. Not at all.” She says she was “unfairly targeted” for her Christian faith and conservative values, and she’s lawyered up to prove it.

Her attorney, Patrick Mincey, says she’s the one owed an apology, calling her “defamed” and denying the racism accusations “100 percent.” He says her ousting “had nothing to do with posts from a decade ago, which we aren’t running from and Brittany isn’t apologizing for.”

Last week, Miss USA CEO Thom Brodeur said in a statement that Boltinhouse had agreed to step down, and that the decision followed conduct that violated the organization’s standards over an extended period of time.
