Katseye’s ‘Wild Hearts’ Documentary Got Its LA Screening, and the Group Turned Up in Coordinated Black Dresses with Wildly Different Shoes
Four members showed up in black dresses, then split the difference at the ankles. Two went classic in pointed-toe pumps, one added green PVC heels, and one strapped into knee-high croc-embossed boots with dangling silver locks.
Daniela Avanzini was the only one to break the all-black code, pairing a satiny full-length dress with a ruched bodice and crisscross side lacing with green pointed-toe heels in a semi-transparent, PVC-like upper.
She and three groupmates, Lara Raj, Megan Skiendiel and Yoonchae Jeong, attended the Los Angeles screening of “Katseye: Wild Hearts” on Tuesday, each in a different take on the black dress.
Jeong went the edgiest, with black croc-embossed stiletto boots that ran knee-high, finished with silver buckles on the vamp and dangling locks, worn under a high-neck minidress with a fitted bodice and ruffled skirt.
Raj and Skiendiel landed on the same silhouette, a black pointed-toe pump. Raj’s was a patent leather Christian Louboutin, what looked like the brand’s Kate style, over a partially sheer lingerie-style dress with lacy detailing. Skiendiel kept it matte in a black leather pump and a simple silky slipdress.
The screening was a premiere-style event ahead of the film’s limited theatrical run, which starts August 12 and lands two days before the group’s third EP, “WILD,” drops on August 14. Directed by Nadia Hallgren and made by the team behind Netflix’s “Pop Star Academy: Katseye,” the roughly 80-minute doc traces the group’s post-debut grind through behind-the-scenes footage, member interviews, and fan-submitted videos from their EYEKONS fandom, which the film’s official framing calls “a love letter to the EYEKONS.”
