The Savoy Place photocall on July 5 was the official kickoff of the press tour, pulling the full ensemble together for the first time: Matt Damon as Odysseus, Anne Hathaway as Penelope, Tom Holland as Telemachus, Robert Pattinson as Antinous, Lupita Nyong’o in a dual role as Helen of Troy and Clytemnestra, Zendaya as Athena, Benny Safdie as Agamemnon, John Leguizamo as Eumaeus, Himesh Patel as Eurylochus, and Samantha Morton as Circe, alongside Nolan and producer Emma Thomas.

Zendaya leaned hardest into the source, in a custom ivory Jacquemus column gown with a fluid open back and a sleek white headscarf, finished with large gold disc earrings, Christian Louboutin So Kate pumps, and stacked Barron London rings set with actual 1st-millennium BC artifacts in 18k gold and diamonds. Law Roach styled the look, which reports described as fully channeling Athena.

Nolan shot the whole film on IMAX 70mm cameras, a first for any feature, chasing Homer’s epic across Morocco, Greece, Italy, Scotland, Iceland, Western Sahara, and Malta on a budget reported near $250 million. Hoyte van Hoytema shot it, Jennifer Lame cut it, and Ludwig Göransson scored it.
