Rob Gronkowski Was Starstruck at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s Wedding: “You’ve Just Gotta Play It Cool, Though.”
Rob Gronkowski went into the wedding meeting people he’d grown up idolizing, and he had one rule for himself: don’t let them see you sweat. He also played the party’s raffle games hard, all to win a prize for girlfriend Camille Kostek.
Guests had to earn their raffle tickets at the July 3 celebration by playing games, and Gronkowski threw himself into it to win something for Kostek. “It wasn’t no hand-me-outs, you had to earn the raffle tickets, and that’s what made it so much fun,” the former tight end, 37, told PEOPLE.
The Madison Square Garden reception put him next to childhood heroes and stars from outside sports. “When you meet someone that’s been your hero, that you’ve been watching, but you’ve just gotta play it cool, though,” he said.
Gronkowski spent much of the night on the dance floor, where former teammate Tom Brady was also among the crowd. His verdict on the whole thing: “For how big it was, it was very intimate still.”
Kostek, who attended with him, called Swift “a real-life princess in her custom Dior.”
