Leonardo DiCaprio is doing what he does every summer: soaking up the Riviera on a yacht with beautiful company.

France and Spain are battling a fourth heat wave this summer, with roughly 100,000 acres of forest, farmland and villages scorched across southwestern France and more than 200,000 people evacuated at the height of the crisis.

Leo, 51, reminds us that Earth is hell, heaven and purgatory all at once, and he’s one of the lucky few actually living in the heaven part.

Today, that heaven looks like a yacht off Saint-Tropez with girlfriend Vittoria Ceretti and actress Laura Harrier, the two of them cooling off in the crystal-clear waters of the French Riviera.

Up until now, he’d spent the summer stateside, riding Citi Bikes through SoHo with Ceretti, sitting courtside at a Lakers-Thunder playoff game in May, turning up at Jeff and Lauren Bezos’s pre-Met Gala party, and hitting Bird Streets Club with the Duffer Brothers in late June. He skipped Taylor Swift’s wedding and had been notably absent from the European yacht circuit until this week.

Meanwhile, also off the coast of France, Katy Perry is on her own yacht with former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who, at 54, is looking increasingly 21 and dressing like a hot, bisexual college boy from a Jenny Han novel. He was photographed rubbing sunscreen across Perry’s chest as she lifted her dress for him. The two have been dating since last summer, and Perry has called him the “love of my life.” How cute!

Meanwhile, Trump said today that it’s “our turn” to strike Iran, vowing to hit the country “very hard” and “smack them a little bit.” More than 1,500 commercial ships have been stranded in the Gulf since the Strait of Hormuz closed on February 28, their hulls now encrusted with barnacles and algae that scientists warn could become a “super-spreader” of invasive species once trade resumes.

Meanwhile, I’m writing this, dehydrated, listening to “Wink Wink” by Charli XCX and filled with ennui. Is this purgatory? Or hell..
