Ben Savage Was Spotted Out with His Daughter in LA, Months After His Boy Meets World Co-Stars Said He’s Been Ghosting Them for Years
The intensely private Boy Meets World star is a new dad, out in public with the daughter he and wife Tessa welcomed last November. His former co-stars, meanwhile, say they still haven’t heard from him in years.
Ben Savage and his wife Tessa Angermeier welcomed their daughter on November 26, 2025, and he announced her arrival on Instagram with the simple caption “Welcome little one.” He shared hospital photos wearing a “girl dad” shirt. No public name for the baby has been reported.
Savage, 45, played Cory Matthews on Boy Meets World and its sequel Girl Meets World. He’s the younger brother of Fred Savage of The Wonder Years.
He and Angermeier started dating in 2018 and kept things low-key for years. Tessa, a senior graphic designer who’s worked for luxury furniture brand Ben Soleimani, first appeared on his Instagram in August 2018.
Ben proposed in early 2023 in front of a pond in Owensville, Indiana, her hometown, posting a photo with her ring visible and the caption “The best is yet to come.” They married on February 18, 2023 at the Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks, California, a day Tessa called a “love party.”
The couple announced they were expecting in May 2025. “November can’t come soon enough,” Tessa wrote at the time. The family now lives in the Los Angeles area.
The baby news lands against a very public estrangement from his old co-stars. Danielle Fishel, Rider Strong, and Will Friedle host the rewatch podcast Pod Meets World, and they’ve said Ben was approached early on about joining or appearing and made clear it wasn’t for him. Around 2020, they say, he stopped responding to texts and calls entirely. All three have repeatedly described it as being “ghosted,” with no fight and no clear falling-out.
They first went into detail about it in 2023. In early 2025, and again in 2026 while promoting their documentary Doc Meets World, Friedle and Fishel confirmed they still haven’t spoken to him. Friedle has said he “can’t stand” that Ben won’t talk to them, and that Ben “just bailed” mid-relationship after decades of friendship.
Ben has stayed mostly silent on the topic. He hasn’t rejoined the group for the podcast or any major reunions, and as of the most recent updates in 2026 the estrangement continues.
