They’re bullshit. And nobody knows this better than the pandering blogger who dreamed up the list in the first place. All these lists with general advice are based on the personal experiences of the author, who is so short-sighted that they believe that the circumstances of their life are completely universal. There’s probably no such thing as a happy life. There’s just life. It has its happy moments, its terrible moments, its boring moments and then the rest of the time you’re sleeping. Advertisers, and people who rely on advertisers for money, prey on the fact that every single person lives with the belief that they could be happier in some way. But only you truly understand what makes you happy, so you should be extremely skeptical of anyone who tries to define the metrics by which you measure your success, relationships, 20s/30s/40s, wedding, marriage, job, parenting, college major and really any other aspect of your life.
That’s all I have, so points 2 through 23 will just be pictures of puppies.
