‘House of Stassi’: Jessi Draper Reveals Scheana Shay Wanted to Join ‘Secret Lives of Mormon Wives’
Stassi Schroeder and The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Jessi Draper shared a little reality TV gossip during the premiere of House of Stassi — and the conversation quickly turned to Scheana Shay.
While meeting for lunch, Draper teased that she had some “tea” involving the former Vanderpump Rules star.

According to Draper, Scheana recently told her that she’s “walking away from Bravo completely” following the network’s decision to reboot Vanderpump Rules with an entirely new cast.
But that wasn’t the surprising part.
Draper claimed Scheana immediately floated the idea of appearing on Hulu’s hit reality series, pointing out that her husband, Brock Davies, grew up Mormon.
“‘Do you have any events coming up? Brock was Mormon, so maybe I can come be on your show,'” Draper recalled Shay saying.

Schroeder, however, admitted the alleged pitch sounded exactly like something her former co-star would do.
In a confessional, she joked that Shay “loves the spotlight” and said she’d actually be more shocked if she didn’t try to find a way onto The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.
Schroeder then took the joke even further, quipping that she “can’t get away from this woman” and that Shay would “100 percent show up at my funeral and make it about her.”

The exchange is the latest chapter in the longtime dynamic between the former Vanderpump Rules castmates, who both appeared on the Bravo series when it premiered in 2013.
Schroeder exited the show in 2020 after Season 8, while Shay remained on the cast through Season 11 before Bravo announced it would reboot the franchise with an entirely new group of SUR employees.
Before the reboot became official, Shay revealed that executive producer Alex Baskin warned the cast during filming that the series was in jeopardy if they couldn’t deliver compelling storylines. She later admitted the conversations created significant pressure, saying the cast also worried about the dozens of crew members whose jobs depended on the show continuing.

Although Shay has spoken openly about the end of Vanderpump Rules, neither she nor Hulu has announced any plans for her to join The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.
Still, if Schroeder’s reaction is any indication, she wouldn’t be surprised if Shay found a way to make an appearance.
