Just So You Know, Being Single Doesn’t Mean Something Is Wrong With You
You are a smart, beautiful, and intelligent being and no one can take that from you.
Don’t let it bother you about being single.
It may have discouraged you, talking to individuals and failing each time.
You had someone for six months and they tell you that they don’t want a title.
You had someone who supposedly wanted you but chose someone else.
You had someone else who just wanted your body nothing more, nothing less.
And it must have made you feel like there was something wrong with you. You probably have compared yourself to the people they would choose over you. Trying to figure out what they have that you don’t or what makes them so special that they would want to get to know them but they didn’t want to get to know you.
It may take you a while to fully see who you are and all there is to you. You will soon realize the person who you are slowly becoming. There will always be someone who is better looking than you or who has a better body, longer hair etc. but no one has the ability to love the way you do.
No one is as forgiving as you are. No one has a heart like yours.
So when you look back at the failed attempts on relationships, situationships or whatever you want to call them, understand that you weren’t the problem. They weren’t capable of giving the love, time and energy that you were. And that’s okay.
God has molded someone for you that is willing to match your efforts and accept all that you have to offer. And in due time you guys will cross paths. But in this time of being by yourself, be conscious of why God has probably put you in this position of not having a significant other.
You can’t fully love someone if you don’t fully love yourself.
Being by your lonesome will eventually make you fall in love with your solitude. It will make you learn about yourself, the things you like and don’t like. The things you will tolerate and the things you won’t. You will accept your flaws and will see that they are what make you, you.
You are a smart, beautiful, and intelligent being and no one can take that from you.
It may take a while to get used to this state of mind that and it won’t be easy, but it will be worth it. You may still have your days where you’re not quite sure of yourself or you don’t know where you’re going but it is just a reminder that you’re still finding out who you are and the journey is far from over. Don’t worry about your “exes” and them seeing your “glow up” because if you keep worrying about the ones who are behind you, you will never get to where you need to be.
You have come too far to be set back for worrying about people who didn’t deserve to get that close to you anyway. Someone once said, “Don’t worry about them seeing your glow cause if you are really glowing, they are going to see it regardless.”
