Katy Perry and Taylor Swift’s Years-Long Feud May Officially Be Over
The Katy-Taylor feud supposedly started around 2014, when Perry allegedly tried to hire a bunch of Swift's dancers out from under her. Since then, it's all been bad blood between them.
When you think of celebs with mortal enemies, you usually think of Taylor Swift. That girl has haters for days. And one of her most high profile public enemies is Ms. Katy Perry, the woman who once crooned about kissing a girl (and liking it).
The Katy-Taylor feud supposedly started around 2014, when Perry allegedly tried to hire a bunch of Swift’s dancers out from under her. Since then, it’s all been bad blood between them, quite literally — Swift wrote her hit song Bad Blood about the songstress. And since then, the two have wanted absolutely nothing to do with one another.
But I guess they’re ready to throw in the towel and call it a truce, because Perry sent Swift an olive branch and an apology note right before Swift heads off on tour.
Though most of the note is illegible from what we can see, we can still make out a few lines, like “Hey Old Friend — I’ve been doing some reflecting on past miscommunications and hurt feelings between us.” Perry also wrote that she was “deeply sorry” and wanted to “clear the air.” Considering Swift uploaded it onto her Instagram story, we’re going to assume it’s apology accepted.
If Katy Perry and Taylor Swift can put aside their years-long feud and become friends again, then damn it, anything can happen. Here’s to hoping 2018 continues on to become a year of love and peace.
