1. People will leave you and there will be nothing you can do about it. You can’t control other people’s emotions. And you can’t make anyone in your life stay when all they want to do is go.

2. Your dreams will take time. Be patient with yourself.

3. If you aren’t happy in your life, you have the power to change it.

4. Being single is a hell of a lot better than staying in a relationship out of comfort.

5. Your close friends are the people who continue to love you despite your imperfections and flaws.

6. Don’t beat yourself every time you say ‘no’ to someone.

7. You will have days where you feel like you just can’t do it anymore. Just remember, those days will pass.

8. There is so much beauty in the little things.

9. Taking care of your body is not as hard as people make it out to be.

10. Adult acne is a thing.

11. You are not a perfect human being. You’re supposed to fuck up every once in a while.

12. You can’t change other people’s minds.

13. Let go of friendships that have only brought you down. It isn’t worth it in the end.

14. If your significant other doesn’t make you laugh, end it.

15. It’s ok to be picky. It’s ok to have high standards. Know your worth.

16. First dates will never not be awkward.

17. Stop wasting time worrying about things you will never be able to control.

18. Some people won’t ever understand you. Know that’s ok.

19. Have that second slice of pizza. Always.

20. Ask for help when you need it. Never feel ashamed for needing guidance.

21. Not everyone is going to like you. Not everyone is going to love you. The sooner you accept that, the happier you will be.

22. You will get heartbroken again. And just like the first time, you will survive it.

23. Failure is not the end of the world. You can always do better and be better. Keep trying.
