15 Songs That, Believe It Or Not, Are Already Five Years Old
Let's take a look at some jams that, if this were a marriage, would really be feeling the pressure to have kids right about now.

Welcome to this article, a clever way of listing a bunch of songs that came out in 2009.
The title though, is a little bit more than pure click manipulation. I mean it’s definitely click manipulation, but not totally. Because in the words of your friend who’s commenting on the fact that yet another year has passed, it’s “so crazy” that some of these songs are five years old — and already well on their way to becoming fodder for an upcoming VH1 countdown.
So with that, let’s take a look at some jams that, if this were a marriage, would really be feeling the pressure to have kids right about now:
1. Jay-Z – Death Of AutoTune (D.O.A.)

Hard to believe that this roasting of autotune happened 5 years ago. But the song, with Jay making references to ringtones and iTunes, is definitely beginning to sound (very so slightly) dated.
2. Wale – Chillin’ (ft. Lady Gaga)

3. Matt & Kim – Daylight

4. One Time – Justin Bieber

Maybe not hard to believe that this was five years ago. Feels more like 20.
5. Boys Like Girls – Love Drunk

6. Animal Collective – My Girls

The anthem of the modern-hipster era.
7. Ke$ha – Tik Tok

I think part of the reason Ke$ha got so popular with this was that the sound was so new. Will be interesting to see if/how she evolves as she enters the next phase of her career.
8. Beyonce – Single Ladies

9. Cobra Starship – Good Girls Go Bad
[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ix5z1bRz4Sc&w=584&h=390]
I think that when it’s all said and done, Cobra Starship might end up being the poster boys of late aughts/early 2010s nostalgia. Or at least, one can hope.
10. Britney Spears – If You Seek Amy

11. Asher Roth – I Love College
[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qYx7YG0RsFY&w=584&h=390]
Think about what you were doing when this one came out, and hate how much less fun you now are.
12. Phoenix – 1901

Still holding its ground(s) at coffee shops nationwide.
13. Jessie McCartney ft. T-Pain – Body Language
[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KiDtvTEHHwU&w=584&h=390]
The older music by T-Pain gets, the sadder everything is.
14. Owl City – Fireflies

15. Black Eyed Peas – Boom Boom Pow

These days, super two thousand and late.
