Christy Knowings, Who Starred in Over 30 Episodes of Nickelodeon’s ‘All That,’ Has Died at 46

Christy Knowings was hospitalized after an asthma attack on Aug. 7 and put on life support before she died four days later. Kenan Thompson, who came up alongside her on the show, called her “one of the funniest people out here.”

Knowings suffered an asthma attack and was hospitalized on Friday, Aug. 7, then placed on life support at a Los Angeles-area hospital before she died on Tuesday, Aug. 11. TMZ reported the death Thursday, citing an unnamed family member.

She joined All That in 1997 and made her final appearance on the sketch series in 1999. She later appeared in the 2009 film Mother and Child and earned a writing credit on it, and made three appearances on Sesame Street between 2009 and 2011.

Kenan Thompson, 48, reacted on Instagram: “Man this one hit hard!!! Rest well Christy!!! Never could have imagined this day!! Sending so much love to her family!! She was a real one and one of the funniest people out here!!! Gonna miss you buddy!!!”

Her death comes a little over six months after All That alum Kianna Underwood was killed in a hit-and-run in New York City at age 33.
