Erling Haaland Moved on from Norway’s World Cup Loss to England by Taking His Family to Taormina, Sicily, on a Yacht, as the Rich and Famous Tend to Do in Late July
Four days after England knocked Norway out of the World Cup, Haaland was shirtless on a boat off Sicily with a police escort idling nearby. The jet skis in the water weren’t his; they were marked POLIZIA.

The boat is named “Chase Me,” moored in the deep blue water off Taormina. The escort is standard VIP treatment in these waters, tightened this week around Dolce & Gabbana’s Alta Moda events in town.

Haaland spent the day in sunglasses and a towel over his shoulders, joined by Norway teammate Sander Berge. The two took selfies on deck and rode jet skis under the July sun. His baby was on board for part of the afternoon.
That evening he turned up at a Dolce & Gabbana event in the same town with girlfriend Isabel Haugseng Johansen, bracketing the yacht day with a fashion stop.

Norway’s tournament ended July 11 in Miami, a 1-2 loss to England after extra time that closed out the country’s deepest World Cup run ever. Haaland scored 7 goals across the tournament.

The Sicily trip came a day after he landed in Oslo carrying a $750 taxidermy raccoon holding a bottle of whiskey, picked up at Wild Bill’s Western Store in Dallas during the group stage.
