Apple Martin Is Shooting Her First Movie Opposite Owen Wilson, Who Starred Alongside Her Mom Gwyneth Paltrow Years Ago
Apple Martin is now a third-generation actress, following her Oscar-winning mom Gwyneth Paltrow and grandmother Blythe Danner into the family business. Her very first scene partner is a man who once played her mother’s love interest.
Her first movie is a $100 million-plus Warner Bros. rom-com called Paris Paramount, directed by Nancy Meyers of The Holiday and Something’s Gotta Give, and it’s set to hit theaters on December 25, 2027.

The 22-year-old was photographed on the LA set Thursday shooting an outdoor scene with Owen Wilson, 57. Wilson and Paltrow played Eli Cash and Margot Tenenbaum in Wes Anderson’s 2001 comedy The Royal Tenenbaums, the same film that starred Owen’s younger brother Luke, whom Paltrow dated for nearly a year before she met Chris Martin.
The movie is stacked around her: Penélope Cruz, Kieran Culkin, Jude Law, Erin Doherty, Tony Hale, Rich Sommer and Beverly D’Angelo are all in it. Meyers began production on the semi-autobiographical film on May 17 and expects to wrap September 17.

Martin plays a mystery role in a story about industry exes who reconnect while making a movie together.
