Luke Wilson Is a First-Time Dad at 54

For almost 30 years Luke Wilson has been Hollywood’s easygoing everyman, the warm, steady presence in Old School, Legally Blonde, Idiocracy, and his collaborations with director Wes Anderson like The Royal Tenenbaums. Now he’s stepping into the biggest part of his life off camera.

Wilson and his girlfriend, Kendall Yates, have quietly welcomed a baby daughter, their first child together and the first for Luke. People confirmed the news exclusively. Days earlier the couple brought their newborn to a Netflix reception in Newport Beach and introduced her to guests.

The couple hasn’t shared her name or her birthday, and they’re keeping the rest close for now. Some milestones don’t need a big announcement. Sometimes a first-time dad just gets to hold his daughter.
