Taylor Swift Just Spent 5 Hours at Gigi Hadid’s NYC Condo Two Days Before the Wedding, All but Confirming Gigi’s a Bridesmaid
The wedding is at Madison Square Garden this Friday, with roughly 1,000 guests and a rehearsal dinner the night before. A 5-hour sit-down two days out isn’t a casual hang, it’s a bride and her bridesmaid locking down the plan.
Swift pulled up to Hadid’s building in an SUV on Wednesday and waited for the garage door to close before getting out, per video obtained by TMZ. She stayed about 5 hours.
Insiders have said since November 2025 that Swift asked Hadid to be a bridesmaid over an NYC dinner, and that Hadid accepted on the spot. Selena Gomez is also in the party. The maid of honor hasn’t been named, with speculation split between childhood friend Abigail Anderson and stylist Ashley Avignone.
They’ve been in each other’s lives for more than a decade. Their first big public sighting was the Vanity Fair Oscars after-party in March 2014, with Ireland Baldwin and Jaime King.
By 2015, Hadid was in the “Bad Blood” video as Slay Z, got pulled onstage during the 1989 tour in Detroit for “Style,” and turned up at Swift’s 4th of July party in Rhode Island.
In a 2017 Harper’s Bazaar interview, Swift called Hadid “one of the first people I go to for advice.” A year later, Hadid went to the Reputation tour and posted a Story telling Swift, “Love you to the moon.”
Hadid defended Swift publicly during the 2019 masters fight with Scooter Braun. When Hadid’s daughter Khai was born in 2020, Swift sent flowers for Hadid’s birthday, a handmade pink blanket, and a stuffed “Ugly Bear” sewn from one of her own dresses.
Hadid has since named “Snow on the Beach” her favorite Midnights track because it reminds her of Swift’s Rhode Island house in winter, and Swift reportedly lent her that house in 2023 for a private getaway with Bradley Cooper. Hadid also showed up at multiple Eras Tour stops.
In 2024, she gave Swift a custom ring with nods to The Tortured Poets Department, cat Benjamin Button, the number 13, and Kelce’s 87.
The timing is what makes the visit read as strategy. Swift marries Travis Kelce on Friday in an arena reworked with castle-and-garden décor, and reports suggest she’s keeping the getting-ready circle small, which would pile more on whoever’s closest. A five-hour window right before all that lines up with schedules, dress fittings, and a pre-wedding sleepover at Swift’s Rhode Island home.
Guests including Ed Sheeran and Sabrina Carpenter have already been spotted in the city.
