Julia Janeiro Steps Out in Madrid as Online Backlash Continues
New photos show Julia Janeiro leaving a restaurant in Madrid on June 29, looking composed while still facing heavy online criticism after stepping into the spotlight for the first time.
The 23-year-old daughter of legendary bullfighter Jesús “Jesulín” de Ubrique and María José Campanario had spent years deliberately avoiding the media circus that defined her father’s career and her parents’ very public relationship history. Born in 2003, Julia largely stayed out of the tabloids, even pushing back legally at one point to argue she shouldn’t be treated as a full public figure. She worked quietly as a makeup artist and content creator while her father remained a recognizable name in Spain and her mother stayed connected to the celebrity world.

That changed in early May 2026. Julia gave her first major interview to ¡HOLA! and joined the cast of Antena 3’s demanding reality show La Caja Amarilla. In the interview she opened up about being severely bullied for nearly a decade, from around age 7 to 16, because of her famous last names and the scandals attached to her parents’ fame. She said it got so bad she changed schools multiple times and spent time in the United States to escape it. Just weeks after speaking out, she was hit with exactly the kind of judgment she described: “nepo baby” accusations, attacks on her appearance and career, and comments wishing her dead.

She responded directly on TikTok, calling out how many adults were attacking her and saying, “the problem is the people.” While the backlash continues, these latest photos capture her out in Madrid. Both of her parents have publicly stood by her, with her mother especially vocal online and her father offering quieter, consistent support during the storm.
