A24 hosted the Los Angeles premiere of ‘The Invite’ at the DGA Theatre on Wednesday night, the first big rollout moment for Olivia Wilde’s third feature as a director and her first with the studio. The cast turned out in force, with Penelope Cruz, Seth Rogen, and Edward Norton joining Wilde for photos before the screening.

Cruz, 52, walked the carpet in a low-cut pale blue gown with sequin and bead details along the bodice and drop waist, finished with a soft, feathery train. Her hair was swept into a bun with a few wavy strands left loose, diamond earrings catching the light.

Wilde, 42, posed beside her in a black gown with a stomach cut-out and a big bow detail. Kesha and Alicia Silverstone also turned out for the night.

‘The Invite’ is adapted by Rashida Jones and Will McCormack from the 2020 Spanish film ‘The People Upstairs.’ It hits select theaters Friday, June 26, and goes wide July 10. Cruz plays Pína, one half of the enigmatic upstairs neighbors who, with her boyfriend Hawk (Norton), turn a dinner party with a struggling married couple (Rogen and Wilde) into a night of brutal honesty no one saw coming.

After the premiere, the party moved to the Chateau Marmont Bungalows in West Hollywood for a smaller, invite-only celebration. Wilde was there alongside co-writer Rashida Jones, and ‘The Pitt’ actors Gerran Howell and Patrick Ball were photographed at the bungalows. Cruz, Rogen, and Norton were front and center on the carpet earlier in the night.
