Callum Turner Allegedly Banned Victoria Villarroel from Posting Him Because He Hated Fame, Now He’s Everywhere with Dua Lipa
On her podcast “Better Half with Stas & Vic,” Victoria Villarroel described an unnamed British ex who demanded total privacy, refused to be seen with her in public, and banned her from posting any photos of him on Instagram. Her account of what he told her: “This man would be like, ‘I would never date somebody who gets paparazzi’d, I would never date a famous person, I would never go to the Met Gala, that’s corny.'”

The timeline points at Callum Turner, who she was rumored to date in 2023 right before he went public with Dua Lipa. He’d kept a low profile for years, including a long relationship with Vanessa Kirby that stayed mostly out of frame.

Then came Dua Lipa, who has more than 80 million Instagram followers to Villarroel’s roughly 2 million. The two married in May 2026 and have done Berlinale, Vanity Fair’s Oscars party, and a steady run of red carpets together. Villarroel also mentioned that Dua once sat near her at a dinner in London.

Her co-host Stassie Karanikolaou laid out the whiplash on the episode: “Your ex-British boy, the way that he was with you and the things that he said he wanted and didn’t want out of his life compared to him now is a complete 360. A full turnaround, the 180 opposite of what he said with you.” Villarroel’s response: “Who were you then? Were you lying to me?”
