Anne Hathaway Is Pregnant with Her Third Child at 43
Anne Hathaway announced the pregnancy on Instagram with a video showing off her baby bump in a linen two-piece, captioned “Baby, I’m yours.”
It’s her third child with husband Adam Shulman, who she married in September 2012. They already share sons Jonathan, born in 2016, and Jack, born in 2019.
The actress has been open about how hard the road to her first two pregnancies was. She had a miscarriage in 2015 during a six-week run of the off-Broadway show Grounded, and when she announced her second pregnancy in 2019, she addressed people going through “infertility and conception hell,” writing that it “was not a straight line to either of my pregnancies.”
She revisited that decision in a 2024 Vanity Fair interview, saying it “would’ve felt disingenuous to post something all the way happy when I know the story is much more nuanced than that for everyone.”
The news lands after Hathaway was photographed on a family trip to St Tropez last week, and amid one of the busiest stretches of her career, with The Devil Wears Prada 2, The Odyssey, Mother Mary, and a long-awaited Princess Diaries 3 all in the works.
