We have everything we need right there. Right in front of us. Inside of us. What else do we need?  

We are too easily triggered, and so either too highly aroused or not aroused enough. Fascinatingly, there are drugs which can put us into this optimal state.

For the purposes of this article, I would like to start by saying that I identify as a cis-gender, hetero-normative man. As such, I am speaking from my own privileged location.

Perhaps this is because we want to keep someone dangling on the side, in order to have the option of comfort on a lonely night.

We men have been conditioned socially to believe that any number of small, meaningless cues from women are in fact meaningful, and that we have some intrinsic entitlement moving forward to pursue women because of it.
