An absurd little skit of 21st Century domestic chaos Dandy and Lion are asleep in bed. Dandy wakes suddenly and sits up. She turns to Lion who’s head is buried under a small blanket. She watches him sleep.

There’s much to be said for family orientated fellas, and men who are good sons to their moms will likely be just as devoted to his special someone.

One of the more positive aspects of living in LA is the dog culture. Dogs are everywhere!

As a teenager, I had a clear image of being a mom by 27.

After working with Tom Cruise, a Hollywood dialect coach (whose name I won’t reveal) once described him to me as being “emotionally frozen in time” at the age he was catapulted to stardom — around 21. Is that what happens to all these young mortals who are inflated to god-like status?

Do they bring multiple suitors home during the week? And if so, do they or their saucy one night stand scream like a banshee in the throes of it?

The feminist in me says I should know better!

It seemed that as far as blogging and online journalism platforms were concerned, content fell into two separate camps: an intellectual “feminist” publication would have the (unfair) isolating stigma of hairy underarms and macho rage, or a more “feminine”, “girly” publication would inhabit the rather vacuous world of beauty products and relationship advise.

It’s often said that the heart of Los Angeles is only experienced when introduced to by a local.

Without giving the ending away to those who haven’t seen it, in Maleficent we learn that it is women who bring about world peace.
