You Are The Person Someone Dreams About Finding

If a person doesn’t cherish you, or if their words and behaviors make you feel even the slightest bit less about yourself, then you need to leave.

“No amount of security is worth the suffering of a mediocre life chained to a routine that has killed your dreams.” –Maya Mendoza

I can guarantee you have days or nights where you just fall apart on your couch. The sinking feeling consumes you and you feel as though you can’t break free from it. Everything is on repeat like a broken record. The lack of attention from another person is sending you in a downward spiral.

I want you to know this won’t last forever.

This will not be a forever feeling.

If a person doesn’t cherish you, or if their words and behaviors make you feel even the slightest bit less about yourself, then you need to leave. You are in no constraint to allow that. If someone truly wants you around then they will do what it takes to keep you there.

You can’t force someone to care about you.

You can’t force someone to stay loyal to you.

You can’t force someone to love you.

Falling in love with a person means you’re giving them your heart and hoping they don’t destroy it. It is a huge risk that we all take, and sometimes it doesn’t always workout the way we think it’s supposed to, but you have to let go of that image. The brutal truth is that life happens and people change, but the good news is that there is always a way out.

Don’t stay because you think there isn’t more love out there.

Don’t stay because you think you can’t find better.

Don’t lie to yourself so they can seem like a better person.

Don’t walk in a hurricane just to be by their side when you know they wouldn’t do the same for you.

You have to understand that some people that enter your life aren’t meant to stay forever. Even when you feel with your entire being that this is it for you, they might not be.

You can’t be the only one grasping onto the little hope that’s left. You can’t lose yourself trying to mend something that is supposed to stay broken.

Right now, you don’t understand why it’s come to this. I can promise you that one-day you will. One day you will finally find the good in goodbye, and when you do, it will be the most extraordinary experience.

Someday you will meet someone and it will make perfect sense why your past happened. This person will show you different aspects about yourself that you didn’t even know existed. The best part of this is that you won’t have to change a thing to make them love you, because everything you are is something they have been searching for.

You will never feel the slightest bit less about yourself, because they will value all that you are.

You probably feel trapped or as if this is far out of reach for you, but I promise you, this person is out there. This person is waiting for you.

You are the person of someone’s dreams.

Someone is going to show you the purest love.

You have a crinkle by your eye that someone will love.

You have the sweetest heart that someone is desperately searching for.

You have imperfections that someone is going to cherish.

You have the being that someone will put on a pedestal.

You have a laugh that someone is going to smile just thinking about it.

You have dreams and goals that someone will support.

You have a kindness in you that someone will admire.

There is someone out there that will wake you up with a million kisses.

There is someone out there that will watch tv with you in the middle of the night when you can’t sleep.

There is someone out there that will admire every nook and cranny of your mind.

This person exists in this world, so remember this when you’re lying in bed at night with someone who makes you feel as though you’re alone in this world.

I pray you find the love that makes you fall in love with yourself and I pray that you let go of the person that makes you feel anything less than amazing. Thought Catalog Logo Mark
