The silence is too loud.

It sits next to me, and it speaks to me.

How it differentiates everything else after the empty space is stark—almost nakedly obvious.

miss you
love you

So many gaps between the first word and the last but what doesn’t exist is the only word you see.

The lack of privatization—
so much distance when the “I” is removed.

Now it is not tailoring to yourself.
Now it could be for everyone else—
simply a glaring generalization of an empty phrase.

Or it could contain the world.

The world of one too cowardly to say it. Thought Catalog Logo Mark
