Teen Wolf fans rejoice. Everyone’s favorite romantic teen drama about a teen werewolf protecting his town from threats is finally getting the spinoff movie it deserves. If you’ve been craving some more of Scott and his “pack,” you can watch Teen Wolf: The Movie on Paramount+ starting January 26,2023.

The show, which ran from 2011 to 2017, got six seasons and 100 episodes of pure MTV-style soap opera drama with a supernatural spin that earned it over a dozen Teen Choice Awards. But before you get too excited about the spinoff movie, I have some bad news for you. Not everyone you know and love from the show is coming back–and there’s one big missing character that’ll have you bummed. First, here’s who’s definitely on the cast list:

Your favorites are back for Teen Wolf: The Movie.

Paramount+

Of course, they can’t have Teen Wolf: The Movie (what a creative name, by the way) without Tyler Posey, who plays Scott McCall. He’s the titular moon-howling wolf we all know and love. And check out the new look! Posey told The New York Post, “It’s something that I’ve been wanting for years. I was immediately stoked and down for the ride. I’ve never second-guessed wanting to do it.”

From the trailer, it looks like the movie follows Scott coming back to Beacon Hills because Allison Argent, werewolf hunter and Scott’s first love, is back with an inexplicable bloodlust that has everyone on edge. Thankfully, Crystal Reed is back to reprise the role.

Other must-haves coming back for the movie include Holland Roden as Lydia Martin, Colton Haynes as Jackson Whittemore, and Tyler Hoechlin as Derek Hale. That’s just about everyone, right? Well, there’s a big one still missing…

Your Teen Wolf: The Movie experience will be Stiles-free.

MTV

A major part of the Teen Wolf experience was the comic relief we got from Dylan O’Brien as Stiles. For many fans, Stiles was their favorite character. Yet if you catch the trailer for the movie, it’s absent of everyone’s favorite plain-old human and occasional demon conduit. That’s because O’Brien isn’t in the spin-off. He told Variety:

“Ultimately, I just decided it was left in a really good place for me and I still want to leave it there. I wish them well and I’m going to watch it the first night it comes out. I hope it fucking kicks ass, but I’m not going to be in it.”

Tyler Posey did have a message for those who want to look for Stiles-style Easter eggs in the movie, though, from his interview with The New York Post: “We talk about him in the movie [and] we see his Jeep. He’s not absent in our hearts. He’s still very much present.”

Other characters not returning for Teen Wolf: The Movie include Kira, played by Arden Cho, and Theo, played by Cody Christian.
