“When I was a kid my family bought a really old ass huge farm house. One day my Dad decided to add shelves to the hall closet by the front door. He does a bunch of measuring and then walks into the kitchen where me and my siblings were eating lunch. He says (paraphrase) “this is really fucked up. The interior of the closet is bigger than the exterior.” He called his surveyor friend who taught at the U in town and he brought his gear and did more precise measurements. The interior was 3 inches wider, 1 inch taller and 2 inches deeper than the exterior. We never found out what the fuck was going on but my Dad’s friend brought over a couple of his friends to do more measurement stuff. The folks at the U called up the architecture dean at the main campus for a site visit but it was scheduled for 4 months out. We had to move (job relocation). I always wondered what they discovered. A few years ago I Google Mapped to look at the house and there’s condos sitting at where it used to be.”
