Arthur Lucas and Ronald Turpin were the last two executions to ever be carried out in the country of Canada. Turpin was convicted of murdering a police officer while fleeing the scene of a robbery, while Lucas was convicted of murdering a police informant. Both men were executed by hanging in 1962. Capitol punishment was removed from the Canadian Criminal Code in 1976.

For their last meal both men were served steak, potatoes, vegetables, and pie.
