As Buzzfeed reports, rapper Lupe Fiasco was forced off stage by security guards at a private inauguration concert after making anti-Obama remarks. In the video below, Fiasco can be seen rapping “Gaza Strip was getting bombed, Obama didn’t say shit. That’s why I ain’t vote for him.” He also called Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck racists. Fiasco, whose real name is Wasalu Muhammad Jaco, is a Muslim and a consistently politically-minded rapper.

Event organizers, in a statement, claimed they were not censoring Fiasco’s free speech, blaming his removal on his “bizarrely repetitive, jarring performance that left the crowd vocally dissatisfied.” According to attendees, Fiasco played the same anti-war song for 30 minutes and refused to move on to the next song when asked.
