amount of love you have for them has zero correlation to how good they will treat you. You can try your hardest and work yourself to the bone for them, but unless the effort is mutual, nothing will change.  

In the past, kindness was always followed up with some ulterior motive. Why would anything be different this time?

You cannot heal where you experience trauma. You cannot heal in the places you are being abused. 

Every little decision we make for ourselves adds up over time and makes us an individual. Don’t ever let someone rob you of that opportunity. 

Don’t be afraid to let your friends and family in and tell them your struggles. 

We still grieve them, even though we are the ones who cut them off.

Some connections are not meant to last forever and we can appreciate them for what they teach us before moving on.
