Here’s How Accepting Change Will Transform Your Life

Maybe you needed change to find your purpose. Perhaps you needed change to find your person. Or maybe you needed that change to find yourself.⁣

Can you learn to love what’s uncomfortable? ⁣

I’ve seen a lot of change in my life recently. Some of it came faster than I was ready for. Some of it was necessary. Some of it was completely unexpected. ⁣

But it’s here, and it’s now ingrained into my life. Now I have two choices: lament over the changes and complain about the unwelcome insertion into my life when things were finally going well, or learn to love the chaos. I can choose to sit with what’s uncomfortable and offer myself more compassion in the process. ⁣

Change is going to happen whether we like it or not, so the better we become at reacting to change, the better we become at life. ⁣⁣

Change is natural, and if we were truly able to control everything in life, then there wouldn’t be fate, serendipity, or all the things that make it more beautiful than we can ever imagine. ⁣⁣

Because even change that seems hard at first, can lead to a magical revolution we didn’t see coming.

When the chaos clears, that’s when the truth appears. And the truth is, you needed that change to find something.⁣⁣

Maybe you needed change to find your purpose. Perhaps you needed change to find your person. Or maybe you needed that change to find yourself.⁣

⁣Can you learn to love what’s uncomfortable? Lean in further. Breathe in deeper. Tell yourself that this is for the best. Tell yourself, “I will be better.”

⁣It may be uncomfortable now, but we don’t chase our dreams from the comfort of our beds. We chase our dreams from leaving that comfort every single day.

So rise from the warm comfort of your imagination and enter into the unknown of your wildest dreams. Shift the way you see change. See change as the opportunity of a lifetime. Thought Catalog Logo Mark
