10 Etsy Stores You Need In Your Life
Cutting out the retailer and buying directly from the artist can be a great way to find amazing items and support local art, but the search can be exhausting. To help you on your search, a few of us put together a collection of Etsy and online stores where we’ve actually purchased items. Here are 10 of the ones that stood out the most.
1. Emily McDowell
Emily McDowell creates the greeting cards you actually want to give your friends. She creates other shit, too! You’ll go to this shop and basically feel like you want to spend your entire paycheck on totes, temporary tattoos, and to-do lists. DO IT.
2. Auburn Jewelry
Samantha isn’t technically on Etsy, but her work is incredible. This isn’t the cheap jewelry you get for a $1 at the mall; this is handmade, quality items. I’ve ordered several pieces from her and I’ve never been disappointed. The craftsmanship is, without a doubt, second to none.
3. AHeirloom
Need a gift for the person in your life that has everything already? Well, they probably do not have a cutting board with their initials burned into it or a cutting board in the shape of the state they live in. (If they already do have a cutting board like this, then you’re out of luck, they literally have everything.)
4. Vintage Ministry
There aren’t hundreds of pages of items, but they almost always have tons of vintage Versace and Moschino and the items they do list are all must-haves with no filler whatsoever.
5. Dana Castle
For the bohemian crystal-loving New Age hippie (like me) who wants to signal to the world that yes, I am One with the Universe, this shop is for you. (And for anyone else who just thinks crystals are pretty.)
6. Byrdie Graphics
Don’t know what to do to spruce up your walls? Find an adorable assortment of decals at this shop and give your room the makeover it so clearly deserves.
7. The Industry
I suppose you could categorize them as 90s grunge, but it’s really just very cute items. I’ve bought so many dresses from them, I think I could start my own store selling their clothing.
8. Mary Charlene
Mary is one of the funniest people on Twitter, but she is also an amazing artist with a fantastic collection of pieces as well as new designs added every week. It’s definitely worth checking out.
9. Teri Lee Jewelry
Girls are obsessed with rings. We just are. I don’t know why we are, but who are we to fight it? This shop has unique and interesting rings for all your finger-adorning pleasure.
10. Galeta Vintage
You aren’t going to find anyone with a better collection of vintage clothing and items than Galeta Vintage. Don’t click on their link unless you plan on buying some items because once you get in there, you’re going to want to shop. A lot.
