For as long as I can remember, I’ve told people I am homeless, even though I’m not.

In 2018, it’s easy to have a distorted view of what being a strong, free, and empowered woman truly means.

So, my question is: why do we, as young adult women in 2018, strive so hard to reach perfection? More importantly, why do we fear not reaching something knowably unreachable?

I didn’t understand how I could feel like both an insider and outsider. I didn’t understand how I could fit in everywhere seamlessly, yet at the same time, nowhere at all.
