Losing You Felt Like Hell To Me

My heart was a runaway and you were my home. You could cut me open a million times and I would still follow you straight into hell.

I.

My heart was a runaway
and you were my home.
You could cut me open
a million times and I
would still follow you
straight into hell.

II.

My body is an abandoned house
that even I have left behind,
I no longer call it home.
The only ones that visit here
are strangers spray painting
graffiti on the walls, ghosts, and the lonely
who have nowhere else to stay.
Too often than not they leave their mess
until I do not recognize myself anymore.

III.

It’s 3:33AM and
I’m losing so much sleep because of you.
Frankly, Satan himself
could possess my body right now,
yet I wouldn’t be able to tell the difference.
Because losing you must be
what rotting in hell feels like. Thought Catalog Logo Mark
