A Thank You Letter To God

By

Finding peace starts with surrendering our worries to the universe and trusting that God’s guidance will meet us in the middle of our uncertainty. Best-selling author of Finding God Every Day, Rebecca Simon, reminds us to trust God’s timing, embrace patience, and lean on His presence through every season of life.

Lately I’ve been realizing how much there is to thank God for, even in the parts of my story that didn’t make sense at the time. Not everything was easy or comfortable, but a lot of it carried me, protected me, and taught me something I needed. This is just me pausing to say thank you.

  • Thank you for the people who came into my life right when I needed them – the ones who encouraged me, loved me well, or showed me real kindness. And even for the ones who didn’t stay, but still taught me something important.
  • Thank you for the quiet moments where it was just you and me – sitting in my car, lying in bed, staring at the ceiling, when I didn’t know who else to talk to and you met me there anyway.
  • Thank you for staying close during seasons when my faith felt shaky, when I questioned everything, or when trusting you didn’t come easily. Thank you for being steady when I wasn’t.

  • Thank you for the times you said no, even when I didn’t understand it. For protecting me from things I was convinced I wanted but wasn’t meant to have.
  • Thank you for not letting me settle – for nudging me when I was about to accept less love, less peace, or less joy than you had in mind for me.
  • Thank you for teaching me how to stand in moments I once thought would break me.
  • And thank you for knowing all of me – my doubts, my mistakes, my growth in progress, and loving me anyway.
