I knew from the moment you said hello that we won’t be saying goodbye anytime soon.

Time is a funny concept. The more you care about it, the more it eludes you, the more you wait for it, the longer it feels and the more you race against it, the more you lose.

Because even if I was broken, I can’t depend on you to fix me. I need to learn how to fix myself.

You’re allowed to change as long as you’re changing because you want to, not because people are asking you to. You’re allowed to change directions as long as you’re enjoying the drive.

When you date a guy who is sure about you, you become sure of yourself. You don’t wonder if he thinks you’re good enough because he makes you feel like you’re more than enough.

You lost her when you started playing games, when she would send something and you would reply the next day, when you would show interest then act uninterested, when you would flirt with her but still talk about your ex.

She doesn’t lose hope. No matter how many people tell her that she can’t fix people, that people can only fix themselves — she knows that everyone needs help sometimes, even if they don’t admit it, and she will not let anyone discourage her from trying to help someone who is broken.

And in that moment, I realized that you never really fought for me in the beginning to fight for me in the end.

Labels. Everything is left undefined, you can’t even say you’re dating someone you’ve been hanging out with for months because it’s not entirely true but it’s not entirely false either. You can’t say if he/she likes you because they haven’t really confessed that to you yet and you can’t say that you’re not single, because technically you are.

You had a chance to break down my walls because I actually trusted you. I talked to you about my heart breaks, certain that you will never be one, I talked to you about my past, positive that you won’t be part of it and I talked to you about my dreams, confident that you will be in them.

Stop hating the universe for answering your difficult questions. Stop asking the universe to give you what you want if you’re not ready for it.

She will make you forget that your heart was ever broken as she slowly patches the broken pieces back together. She will replace your tears with smiles, your fears with faith, your doubt with certainty and she will always make you feel like you’re enough – more than enough.

For the first time, you made me realize that losing someone is sometimes the only way to love yourself. For the first time, you made me realize there is so much more to be found in losing someone who was never meant to stay.
