Now it’s hard for me to be hopeful because people make me cynical. I still don’t understand how someone can go from texting you every day to not texting you at all and not explain why. I still don’t understand how someone can decide to drop you without giving you a valid reason.

Sometimes silence means suffering. When you’re going through something no one understands, when your heart is breaking over a relationship you were never in.

Find people who don’t take your interest as a sign of weakness or desperation. Find people who don’t label you ‘too much,’ ‘too sensitive’ or ‘too needy’ just because you care.

Boys like you are the reason that girls like me are still single.

I never needed you. I just wanted a chance. A conversation. Maybe a kiss. But forever is a big word, it’s not for the faint of heart, it’s not for you.

She doesn’t hate you. She just hates your silence. She hates how you know that she needs an explanation yet you’re refusing to give her one. She hates how you’re choosing not to acknowledge her feelings or her existence.

In a world trying to make you feel unloved, I’ll love you with all my heart. I’ll love you when you’re weak. I’ll love you when you’re quiet. I’ll love you when you’re scared.

Those who love you tell you that they’ll be by your side no matter what, that you will never have to face anything alone, that they’ll take a bullet for you but then you find yourself standing alone, at gunpoint, wondering where everyone went.

When you’re the only one trying. If you’re the only reaching out, making an effort, trying to meet up, it’s better to let go because it shouldn’t be that much work.

Cancer. They keep you around by being really vulnerable with you. They’ll send you a very long drunk text or tell you how they can’t stop thinking about you but then blame it on the alcohol or just tell you that they were having an emotional day.

Look for the love that tries a little harder to understand why you built your walls so high, why you caged your heart too soon and why you don’t trust easily. Look for the love that tries to understand your fears instead of calling them ‘baggage.’

There goes another stranger who got closer then ran away and went back to being a stranger.

They still see you as just another fish in the sea, they don’t see you as the main catch.

Don’t apologize for asking for closure. It’s not a crime. It’s not too needy. It’s not too crazy. It’s your right.

You are worth more than someone who keeps promising you love but goes on to break your heart. You are worth more than someone who leaves. You deserve someone who stays.

You can’t manipulate someone into wanting you. You can’t manipulate someone into appreciating you even if you’re great — even if you’re the best.
